The purpose of the processing is to assess your suitability as an employee of GMV Handling A/S. The legal basis for the processing is GMV Handling A/S’ legitimate interest as a potential employer in making this assessment, provided that you have chosen to provide this information voluntarily and of your own accord, and that you have a strong interest in the processing taking place. Your provision of personal data is not required by law or contract; if you want the processing of your data to stop, you are welcome to contact us.
If we store the data for the purpose of later offering you a similar position, the legal basis is your consent. The consent can be withdrawn at any time without any reason. Giving consent is completely voluntary. The consent will be obtained in connection with the job interview.
The data will generally be deleted no later than 1 year + current year after the end of the job application process. In special cases where there is a risk of a legal conflict with a job applicant, all job applications from the recruitment round may be stored for documentation purposes until the claim is time-barred or finally rejected by a court.
If you are hired, all information will generally be stored throughout your employment with GMV Handling A/S.

If you are a customer or you are affiliated with a company that is a customer of GMV
GMV Handling A/S has registered personal data about you if you are a customer or you are affiliated with a company that is a customer of GMV Handling A/S. In this context, we need to provide you with some information about how we process your data.
GMV Handling A/S is the data controller for the processing of your data. GMV Handling A/S can be contacted via post@gmvas.dk or on tel. +45 75 73 82 47. We do not process sensitive data about you, only general data.
There are various purposes for processing your data:
- To administer the customer relationship and fulfill our contractual obligations to you for as long as you are a customer, including storing information about you and/or a person associated with a company that is a customer
- to comply with relevant legislation in the area, including the Danish Bookkeeping Act
- to store information about you for a period after the end of the customer relationship in order to comply with legislation and for documentation purposes
The legal basis for the processing is the agreement between you and GMV Handling A/S on the purchase of GMV Handling A/S services, which naturally involves processing information about you.
If you are not a customer, but a person associated with a company that is a customer, the legal basis for processing is GMV Handling A/S’ legitimate interest in maintaining a customer file containing information about the company’s contact person so that it is possible to manage the customer relationship.
The information will generally be deleted no later than 5 years + current year after the customer relationship ended. In special cases where there is a risk of a legal conflict with a customer or a person associated with a company that is a customer, all data may be stored for documentation purposes until the claim is time-barred or finally rejected by a court.
However, we are obliged to keep documentation from a specific machine project for up to 10 years.
The information is generally not shared with third parties. However, GMV Handling A/S’ data processors may have access to the data. It may also be necessary to share the information with GMV Handling A/S’ lawyer or auditor.

If you are a supplier or business partner of GMV
GMV Handling A/S has registered personal data about you if you are a supplier or business partner, or if you are affiliated with a company/association/authority/organization that is a supplier or business partner of GMV Handling A/S. In this context, we are obliged to provide you with a range of information about how we process your data.

GMV Handling A/S’ legitimate interest in maintaining a directory containing information about the company’s contact person so that it is possible to manage the relationship, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the Personal Data Regulation.
The information will generally be deleted no later than 5 years after the end of the year in which the relationship ended. In special cases where there is a risk of a legal conflict with a supplier/partner or a person associated with a company that is a supplier/partner, all data may be stored for documentation purposes until the claim is time-barred or finally settled by a court.
As a general rule, the data will not be shared with third parties. However, GMV Handling A/S uses data processors who may have access to your data. It may also be necessary to share the information with GMV Handling A/S’ lawyer or auditor. Disclosure of information will always take place in accordance with the rules of the Danish Personal Data Act.
If you are a contact person at a company/association/authority/organization that is a supplier/partner of GMV Handling A/S, it would be a great help if you shared this letter with other relevant contact persons who already have or may in future have contact with GMV Handling A/S.
